Wii mania.
Thursday December 7th, 2006
It’s Wii-day for us Brits tomorrow, as I sit here on Wii eve, I can’t help thinking it will be a complete and utter disappointment. I’m not going to get my hopes up, because the probability is pretty high to assume I won’t get one. Even though I have two pre-orders sitting in tow different shops.
The first is a no show, they said I can have one on the next delivery. The second one I picked up on Monday, from Currys and they seemed absolutely oblivious to what I wanted. In the end they took my £20 deposit and gave me a receipt, I’m a bit apprehensive to wonder whether the girl that served me knew what she was doing. So hopefully employee incompetence means I can go in at 9am tomorrow and pick one up without an issue!
After reading the rather subdued reports of the American, Australian and Japanese Wii launches respectively, it puts in good light that tomorrow should be a good day for Nintendo, the console seems to of grasped the British imaginination.
So, if I do get my Wii tomorrow, expect full coverage of the action. I hope.
