I live in a flat with 5 other people and three of use are happy owners of the amazing Nintendo Wii.

As you can imagine, multi-player mayhem is on the agenda so there’s usually a Wii in the lounge, located just across the corridor from my room. So, after re-syncing my controller with the Wii in there, a good game of Tennis ensued, with much brutality, there’s marks on the ceiling from Wii-motes and bruises to share. Take note of health and safety information eh?

Anyway, after a while I decided to come back into my room, put my controller down and turned off my Wii (from the button on the front). A few seconds later I hear cries of confusion coming from the lounge. Upon further investigation, it turns out that putting my Wii on standby did the same to the Wii in the lounge, the most likely reason being that my wiimote was still synced with that one.

So in conclusion if there are > 1 Wii consoles in your house, make sure you’re synced to the right one before turning it off.
