Vista has launched everyone

Microsoft released their next edition of Windows on Tuesday, an historic event? Didn’t it seem a bit of an….anti climax?
News sites and technology blogs spent weeks anticipating Vistas release, on the day there was a breadth of news coverage and media reviewing the install process, posting screen shots and so forth. Did anyone really give a damn though? Half the people I spoke to on Tuesday didn’t even realise it was out and wasn’t too fussed about upgrading from their beloved and well nurtured XP system.
Since then the media seems to of stopped, it’s like it’s just been brushed under the carpet only to find a few weeks later. Perhaps those who have exchanged £150 or so are busy testing out their new system before giving a definitive review, I don’t know, but it just seems a bit strange. I swear the launch of XP got more coverage then this.
Maybe it’s because of Apples slow burning of an uprising which is causing people to branch out of the Windows platform that’s taken a stronghold over the computer world for many years. I don’t know.
Will I be getting it? Probably not, can’t afford it.
